Technical properties of the copper pipe

The copper tubes are manufactured from deoxidized copper (Cu-DHP) with a copper content of at least 99.90%. The residual phosphorus content is deliberately limited to a value between 0.015% and 0.040%. This choice of material ensures outstanding corrosion resistance and performance.

The dimensions and wall thicknesses are standardized: For outer diameters from 1/4" to 1/2", a wall thickness of 0.80 mm is achieved, and for larger diameters from 5/8" to 3/4", a thickness of 1.00 mm is used. This ensures optimal fulfillment of the requirements of current refrigeration and air conditioning technology.

Mechanical properties

The copper pipe has a soft hardness and is classified as R-220 according to EN 12735. With a minimum tensile strength of 220 MPa and an elongation at break of at least 40%, it offers excellent mechanical flexibility and stability.

These features enable easy handling during assembly and safe operation, even in demanding installations and changing environmental conditions.

Insulation and material quality

The high-quality pre-insulation consists of a PE-X foam with a density of 30-33 kg/m³. This insulating foam not only offers a low thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/mK, but also provides an effective thermal barrier.

With a water vapor permeability resistance of over 9000 according to ISO 12572, the material offers excellent resistance to moisture and thus ensures consistent performance over a wide temperature range from -80°C to 110°C.
